These carbon (track) aerobars were built in Whanganui, New Zealand, by Clive Gillum. Clive was well known as a frame builder in the ‘90’s, producing many steel frames.
Clive branched out into some carbon parts, including track and road versions of these bars, along with a carbon frame.
This particular style of bar was made for Gary Anderson, to use at the Olympic Games. Gary ended up using a different setup at the Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the pursuit.
Another Kiwi Cyclist, Lee Vertongen did use some of these bars, on one of the New Zealand team, Pearson bikes.
