1991 Eddy Merckx Team Motorola.
This is one of New Zealanders, Nathan Dahlberg’s bikes.
It is believed it was his spare bike. It was purchased directly from Nathan by the previous owner, and then came to the museum.
There are a few interesting details with this bike- it feature Nathan’s favorite saddle, the Super Corsa, and bar end shifters. Although Nathan had the latest STI shifters at his disposal, this was his preferred setup. Also note the Wolber Tubeless decal in the rear seat stay- unlike todays clincher style tubeless tyres, this was based around a tubeless tubular (glue on tyre). It didn’t take off, the technology reappearing almost 30 years later.
