As a new cyclist in 1988 there were a few people I looked to as idols, one of these, was the legendary Sean Kelly. Kelly won the Vuelta a España in 1988, 4 points classifications in both the Tour de France and Vuelta a España, as well as numerous other tours and one day classic races.
Kelly was generally regarded as the best all around rider of his generation.
This bike is a tribute to the man, and is a replica of his team KAS time trial bike.
The bike frame features carbon/Kevlar tubes bonded to aluminium lugs.
A Mavic Comete rear carbon fibre disc wheel, Mavic componentry, Wolber aero 26″ front wheel and and Kelly’s preferred seat, a Reydel GTI complete the build
