This is the jersey in which Bruce Biddle rode in the 1978 world professional road cycling championship.
On race completion, Bruce gifted the jersey to his good friend Igor Faltoni – Ivo came to support Bruce (and the Italian team) at the world champs, which were held in Germany.
Ivo had found Bruce a team to ride in (amateur) when he first arrived in Italy.
After Ivo’s death, his family asked a friend to clear out the garage, and this jersey was in it. He took it to Brice, and asked him to put a ‘Dedica’ on it. The jersey was then put up for sale, so we are extremely lucky to have this historical piece now back in New Zealand.
